Are you a Commercial Property owner in Salem, OH? Have you had your building tested for Radon Gas?
Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States, and it's extremely prevalent throughout the state of Ohio. According to the EPA, Radon causes around 21,000 deaths each year due to lung cancer.
Radon can be found in different amounts in any home or property. That being said, not every home and building will contain high levels of radon gas. The only way to know if your property contains elevated levels is to have it tested for radon.
If you hope to find out if radon is on your property without having a test, that will not be possible. Radon cannot be seen, smelled, or tasted, it needs to be tested with a specific radon testing device.
Ensure that your Commercial Property is Safe
The testing of your Commercial Property should be complete by a licensed professional who has experience with commercial property testing.
The specialist will place a radon test kit in various areas of the building. The amount of kits needed will be determined by the size of the building. Once the kits are placed, they will remain for 48 hours so they can collect sufficient data.
When the 48 hours is up, the specialist will collect the kits and send them to the radon lab for a thorough analysis.
Once the lab receives the kits in the mail, they will process the results the same day and send them to the specialist.
When the specialist receives the results from the lab, they will provide you with a copy and explain in detail what they mean.
The results will determine whether Radon Mitigation is needed to remove the gas from your property. It is possible for the test kits to have different results. This means some areas of your building may need to have a removal system installed and other areas may not.
Once you are made aware of the radon levels, the specialist will explain the installation process.
If any of the testing kits have a reading of 4.0 pCi/L, radon removal systems will need to be installed to reduce the high concentration levels.
The specialist will determine the number of systems your building will need to obtain accurate radon reduction.
Before any work is started, the specialists will walk you through the entire installation processes.
As part of our system guarantee, the specialist at Radon Eliminator will re-test your property after the installations are complete. We do this to ensure that our systems are working properly and that the radon levels in your building have been reduced below the EPA action level of 4.0.
If for some reason the radon levels have not decreased, we will send the team back to fix the issue and no added cost to you.
