Does your home in Vermilion, OH, contain elevated levels of Radon Gas?
If your radon test came back with high concentration levels, it's time to contact a licensed professional to install a removal system.
A radon removal system aims to eliminate the dangerous gas from inside the breathing space of homes and buildings.
Installation Performed the Right Way
Having your radon mitigation system installed by a licensed professional is very important. Specific regulations need following to ensure that your system has been installed correctly.
The Team at Radon Eliminator is licensed with The Ohio Department of Health.
The Radon Eliminator Installation Process:
1. The installation process begins by finding a quality suction point that is easy to access and has the best outcome for the system's success.
2. When the suction point is located, the technician will drill a 5" hole in the sub-slab of the basement to deploy the system.
When the hole has been dug out, the specialist will decide how large to make the "communication pit." This is a crucial step to do correctly.
If the dimensions of the hole are incorrect, there may not be enough suction to draw the gas from beneath the home.
3. The next step is for the technician to decide the best location for the discharge point. The discharge point is where the radon gas will be exhausted from the house.
The discharge point needs to be exact, so the gas does not have a chance to re-enter the home.
4. The technician can then begin the pipe fitting process. This process is begun by sealing the pipe base that goes directly into the ground.
5. When the piping is in place, the specialist will need to choose the pipe pathway. They will use a chemical welding agent to connect the PVC piping and ensure no leaks in the piping system.
6. The last step is for the ventilation fan to be placed along the pipe pathway. Your Radon Eliminator mitigation specialist can connect the exhaust fan to the outside of the home or, in some cases, in the garage attic.
The ventilation fan is used to pull the radon from beneath the sub-slab of the basement and out into the atmosphere.
The final step to the installation process is for the specialist to leave a test in the home's basement for 72 hours to make sure that the levels have been reduced.
If, for some reason, the levels have lowered below the EPA recommended action level, our crew will come back and do whatever needs to doing at no additional cost to you.
If there are high concentrations of Radon Gas inside your Vermilion, OH home, you need to contact a licensed professional to install a removal system.
