Does your Louisville, Oh home have elevated levels of Radon Gas

If your home has high concentration levels of radon gas, you will need to contact a Licensed Radon Mitigation Company to install a removal system.

Radon Mitigation Process

Installation Performed the Right Way

How Radon Gas Enters a Home

It's crucial to hire a licensed radon mitigation company when you need a removal system installed in your home.

Some rules and regulations need to be followed to ensure your system is installed up to code.

1. The Installation process begins by finding a quality suction point that is easy to access and offers the best outcome for the system's success.

2. Following this, the technician drills a 5" hole into the sub-slab of the basement. Your Radon Eliminator technician will use this hole for the deployment of the mitigation system.

When drilling the hole, the dimensions of the pit must be correct. If they are the wrong size, the system may not have enough suction to remove the radon from the house.

3. The next step is locating a discharge point where the gas will be exhausted from the house.

You and your radon mitigation specialist must choose the proper location so the gas does not have a chance to re-enter the home.

4. When the discharge point is found, the pipe fitting process can begin. This includes sealing the pipe base that goes directly into the ground.

The technician can seal the pipes using a backer rod to fill the spatial gap and finish with industrial-grade caulk.

5. After the piping is placed, the pipe pathway will need to be chosen.

Here, your radon mitigation specialist will use a chemical welding agent to connect the PVC piping and ensure no leaks in the piping system.

6. The final step is for the ventilation fan to be placed along the pipe pathway. We can connect the exhaust fan to the side of the home or, potentially, in the garage attic.

The ventilation fan is used to suck the radon from beneath the home, up through the pipe pathway, and out into the atmosphere.

How Will You Know If The Mitigation Was a Success?

Once the installation has been completed, the technician will leave a radon continuous monitoring system in the basement of the home collecting data.

When the specialist returns, they will tell you what the radon concentration levels are in the home.

If, for some reason, the system is not working correctly, and the radon levels have not been lowered below the EPA recommended action level of 4.0, the Radon Eliminator team will return and do whatever needs doing at no additional cost to you.

Very customer oriented. They had installed a lid that I didn't like and they gladly reinstalled a different lid. They took extra care in cleaning up, and came when expected. Very nice and patient in explaining everything. They did a great job.
