What is Radon Mitigation?

Radon Mitigation or Radon Abatement is used to reduce Radon Gas Levels in the breathing zones of occupied homes and buildings in Brunswick.

What Is The Radon Eliminator Mitigation Process?

It is easy to have the Radon gas in your home remediated, but it requires work if you want it taken care of the right way.

Radon Eliminator will test several different key points of Radon Gas intrusion and, from there, develop a plan based upon the needs of your Brunswick home.

The Radon Eliminator Process

Installation the Right Way

To begin the Radon Removal process, our team will look for a quality suction point that will allow ease of access, be aesthetically pleasing, and give the best possible outcome for success.

Once we have located the proper suction point, the team will begin drilling a 5" hole into the basement slab to deploy the Mitigation system.

Next, the Radon Mitigation Specialist will decide how large the "communication pit" must be based on a soil sample and substrate material analysis.

It is critical to find the correct dimensions of the communication pit, which will create the proper pathway that will draw the air from beneath the slab and direct the Radon Gas out of your Brunswick home.

If the pit is too small, it will not have enough suction to draw out the Radon

After the pit has been dug, the contractor will find the proper discharge point to exhaust the Radon Gas from your Brunswick home.

This is essential to ensure that the Radon being removed does not have the opportunity to reinfiltrate the home due to a poorly routed Mitigation SystemRadon Mitigation Service Provider Brunswick, Ohio

Since the discharge point has been located and drilled out, our team can begin the pipe fitting process.

This process begins with sealing the pipe base that leads directly into the ground.

This will be done by using a backer rod to fill the gap and an industrial-grade caulk that does not outgas.

After the piping is in place, the contractor will choose the proper pipe pathway.

Now the Radon Eliminator team can connect the PVC pipe with a chemical welding agent to ensure no leaks in the piping system.

They will also install a ventilation fan along the pipe pathway. Installing the exhaust fan in the proper location is essential to making sure it has enough suction to pull the Radon Gas out from beneath the basement floor of your Brunswick home.

How Do You Know The Installation Worked?

After the piping is in place and all other intrusion points and cracks are filled, the contractor will install a system monitor gauge to ensure the ventilation system is working properly.

The final step is for our team to test the system's pull by performing tests on the system.  This lets you know that the suction is adequate for pulling Radon Gas out of your Brunswick home.

Very professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and neat. I intended to install a system myself, but could not find any definite info online as to specifications, including best collection point, fan size, and length of pipe above roof line. Their price was twice what the parts would have cost me, but it was well worth it for their expertise. It took their 3 man crew 2 hours to do what would have taken me over 2 days to do. Preliminary results from my digital meter show my short term average radon level went from a peak of 7.2 down to .65. Very good job!
